BHVI’s research and development team is led by Dr Arthur Back, who started his career at BHVI.
Dr Back has been the President of Vision CRC (a BHVI subsidiary), since March 2019. His extensive career includes a long tenure at CooperVision as their Research Director, Vice-President of Research and later as their Chief Technology Officer. During 21 years at CooperVision, Dr Back authored over 60 patents and commercialized over 16 products, including Biofinity Toric™ and the revolutionary MiSight™ dual focus daily disposable contact lens.
Today, Dr Back’s team includes Dr Arthur Ho AM, Dr Luiz Melk, Dr Durgasri Jaisankar and Darien Winsaro. They work alongside BHVI’s chief statistician (Dr Thomas Navudilath), IMI’s Dr Nina Tahhan, BHVI corporate services and international patent attorneys and lawyers.
